I was recently reminded of the art of Henry Darger in an interview on my other blog, where Jessalyn noted him as an inspiration. I watched the movie In the Realms of the Unreal about his life and work a few years ago, and it was so enchanting (I was enchanted, yes). I recommend you watch this movie.

Oh my goodness! he's my favorite. or one of. I went to the american folk art museum in ny and they have an a-mazin collection of his work. it's jaw dropping in person.
