« spring in my step | Main | long overdue... »

get to work!

I've been working hard lately, but it's mostly fun cut and paste work. I created four models of what the final project will look like (approximately). It feels like I've accomplished a lot by doing this but there is still so much left to do! I had fun with this though, and I used my glue gun for the first time in a long time. Above is one of my inspiration clipboards. Still wondering what it's all about? In due time... in due time.

(Oh and I've been making messes, too).

Cutting out a bumblebee.

One of the final models.

And the true occupier of my desk space, Fyodor the cat.

I see a cutout from a Toast catalog!

Love the cat paper weight! I couldn't find that for sale on the Anthropologie website...hehe.
When I saw the photo of you cutting the bumble bee out with your all purpose scissors, I thought about my favorite scissors called the "Cutter Bee" by EK Success. It has a sharp precision tip and I think you would love it for your work. You can find it online or in the scrapbooking sections of craft stores or even Walmart.
Can't wait to see your finished project! I {heart} paper!!!

I do love messes---especially paper ones. Very interesting models, and I appreciate your feline coworker.

You are what you love... no truer words have ever been said!
Enjoyed your photos and thoughts!
