« getting it all down on paper | Main | dis•po•si•tion (thesis 2010) »

oh my goodness here we go

I am ALMOST done. That is, the 3D aspect of my project. Kitty likes it, what do you think? I have pared down all of the pictures to these few, but I really need a good camera to take some pictures with. My little Sony Cybershot is not all that high quality.

It's a really good day today. We woke up to the CBC playing "Heartbroken" by Meaghan Smith, and we've been whistling the tune all day long. It's so spring-y and nice outside too! Too bad I'm inside working on my project... Instead of having picnics... Or even Easter food!

I've posted a couple photos here, but there rest are on Flickr. Let me know what you think, really! I am too immersed in the project to really know what's going on...

Whoa your blog is so inspirational to me. I love your paperwork. Everything is eye candy to me! Please feel free to visit my blog, thanks :)

Ann:

I love this project so much! It's so lovely and inspiring. Where did you find all the old maps?

Avalonne: Thanks, I will definitely check out your blog, looks nice!

Ann: They are from a variety of sources, I collect them as I go. I have a lot of old atlases, you can find them pretty much anywhere (well, antique book stores). The Pink and Green one is just from one of those vintage calendars you can buy every year! I stole it from the 2009 one... oops!

what a lovely collage of things! very creative!

Beautiful. Texture, color, images. Just lovely!

That's a whole lot of gorgeousness! You're amazing.

Aww, you mean it guys! I'm blushing... I'm very excited about how this is turning out, too!

What a beautiful project and styling of it! Great soft colors and happy flags! mmm!

Juli:

Oh wow, it's looking really great! Dang it, there are a few stores in Tokyo that you would really appreciate but they wouldn't let me take any photos for you.

I love all the layers, textures, colors — it's stunning!

Such an adorable post. Very creative and beautiful!
